Alternating Current

• The peak to peak value of a wave is the sum of the peak positive and negative excursions of the wave.  In the case of a sinusoid V_pp = 2V_peak
• The instantaneous value is the value of the sinusoid at any chosen point in time
• The average value of each half cycle is V_avg = 0.636 V_max
